Fisher Forge was founded by David Fisher in 1992. Dave began forging as a hobby when restoring his old farmhouse and making a fireplace crane for the walk-in fireplace. Since then, Fisher Forge has grown to include a wide variety of products including:

David Fisher is currently Vice President of the Pennsylvania Artist Blacksmith Association (PABA) and a member of Artist Blacksmith's Association of North America (ABANA.) He is also a juried member of Pennsylvania and Reading/Berks Guild of Craftsmen. David was selected to be in Early American Life Magazine's Directory of Traditional Crafters. Most notably, he was inducted into the Hamburg Fine Arts Hall of Fame.
In 2006, David Schappell started working at Fisher Forge doing miscellaneous jobs around the shop. Within two weeks he was trying his hand at blacksmithing. Well, as they would say, he was hooked. He has been working at blacksmithing and metal work since, in the traditional role of apprentice.
